Roast Walnuts
You might think this one is too simple for a post, but alas, my memory needs it! So, perhaps it will be useful for you too.
I sometimes need to be reminded of the delicious nutrient bombs that are walnuts. I love them with grapes/apples/cheese; in salads; and on top of my porridge and smoothies.
Makes 8 Serves
Cook Time - 10 mins
Equipment - Oven/Airfryer
Ingredients
1 cup Walnut halves
Method
Preheat oven to 180c
Line tray and spread walnuts evenly
Bake for 10 mins, stirring at 5 mins
Enjoy! store in airtight container (I reuse jars)
Tips
Tips- keep an eye on them! they burn quickly and continue cooking after they come out of the oven
Variations- add salt, herbs or spice mixes
Serving suggestions- top salads, mains, serve with cheese, desserts, bake with them as an ingredient or just enjoy as a snack
