Roast Walnuts

You might think this one is too simple for a post, but alas, my memory needs it! So, perhaps it will be useful for you too.

I sometimes need to be reminded of the delicious nutrient bombs that are walnuts. I love them with grapes/apples/cheese; in salads; and on top of my porridge and smoothies.

Makes 8 Serves

Cook Time - 10 mins

Equipment - Oven/Airfryer

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Walnut halves

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180c

  2. Line tray and spread walnuts evenly

  3. Bake for 10 mins, stirring at 5 mins

  4. Enjoy! store in airtight container (I reuse jars)

Tips

  • Tips- keep an eye on them! they burn quickly and continue cooking after they come out of the oven

  • Variations- add salt, herbs or spice mixes

  • Serving suggestions- top salads, mains, serve with cheese, desserts, bake with them as an ingredient or just enjoy as a snack

  • Store in airtight container for weeks
